I'm confused if the exam contains Serialization. Because I can't find it in the exam objectives
but it is in K&B's book even as a exam objective.

Can anyone clear my doubt?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks but then why is it in the book? Not that is matters really because I've learned anyway.
If it's not useful in the exam then in will be in the future.

Good information. Can anyone else verify this? I sit for the exam tomorrow and I have lots of other things besides serialization I'd like to spend my time on today.

=D You are absolutely right! Good suggestions! Usually 8-9 hours is about best for me, but at least 6. Studying is best done well in advance.

I live in a rural area (Montana, USA) and have to drive 2.5 hours to the exam, so I'm going first thing in the morning and sitting down to eat lunch once I get there. That will give me some time to collect my thoughts and get mentally prepared. I've found that mental state is everything with long, complicated exams like the SCJP.

I feel a little unprepared, but since it's required for one of my university classes, I have to at least attempt the exam tomorrow. If I fail I get a free retake attempt. I wish I had two more weeks to prep, though. It's coming together, I just need a little more time to code and get the details straight before I think I could hit my goal of 90%.

Oh well, back to generics/collections. Thanks for the advice. Hope to report good news tomorrow evening.

Why risk losing points over it ? Learn serialization. It will help you with work also
