Hi
Following is the quote from the whizlab notes.
Except HttpSessionBindingListener and HttpSessionActivationListener, the rest of the listeners have to be configured in web.xml. A sample configuration could be the following:

<listener>
<listener-class>listeners.MyRequestListener</listener-class>
</listener>

I know that HttpSessionBindingListener is not required to register but not sure about HttpSessionActivationListener.

Thanks,
Raj

Hi Raj,

java.lang.HttpSessionActivationListener like java.lang.HttpSessionBindingListener is to be implemented by an attribute class. Such a class need not be instantiated by the container. So it must not be configured in the DD.

HI Chandan

I was going through the HFJS and i found that they explicitly mentioned that HttpSessionActivationListener is required to have entry in the web.xml.I am using HFJS for J2EE 1.4.

Thanks,
Raj
