wil they give importance for SCJP . Mostly interviewers will be concenterating much on the project which we are dealing with and the basics of Core Java.If am wrong then please correct me. Then what about hi-fi companies???

Is there any level of questions asked in interviews?? Your first question looks totally bizzare. Of course SCJP will be given importance, but I know by interviewing some people who had SCJP mentioned in their resume were not even able to tell me the difference between Overriding and Overloading. Make sure that you live up to what you claim in your resume.

With just 2 years of experience, I would say that you will be technically more questioned than on the projects that you worked.

What do you mean by hi-fi companies? What according to you qualifies as a hi-fi companies?

Thankyou so much jothi for your immediate response.Level of questions means wil the questions be asked in depth or in the intermediate level??? what does an interviewer expect from scjp personnals? I think each and every topic must be clear and well explained if i am not wrong. If so,please correct me.

What according to you is in depth or intermediate level. The interviewer can easily judge your knowledge in core java in the first few minutes of the technical discussion. Better know your basics strong.

ok..... so ll concenterate much on core java and my project is dealt with jdbc, servlets, jsp and struts. I can expect an interviewer to ask me about struts framework i believ so and minimun set of questns on the project as well . please correct me if i am getting misguided.

When interviewer interviews you, he/she has focus on what he/she is looking for, not what you are(SCJP or whatever). So do not think because you are SCJP interviewer will ask you questions only on core java. If requirement is for struts, then it will be core java , servlet, jsp, struts may be jdbc, some database as well. If requirement is for core java, then he/she will be more interested in your knowledge about core java than knowledge on struts.

thankyou for replying raman . but sandeep told me that it is totally dependent on the requirement on which the company has. If they have requirement on core then they concenterate their questions on core and the same applies to servlets, jsp and struts. i am in a big confusion . Please please please tell me. I dono struts completely. I know only those which i deal within the project. If the interviewer asks another topic which m unaware of then can i tel him that i dont know about this as i didnt work on it??? please tell me

if your profile is irrelevant to their requirement , then you wouldnt get the call . so their requirement matchs your skill. so dont worry. ofcourse if you dont know what they are asking tell them that you dont know.
