Actually I am java beginner. I just finish reading my servlet + JSP book from murach and I think I get it. Now, I want to get deeper to web technology. So I think, move to another web topics such as web framework is a good start. So my point is

1. Is it important to learn some 3rd party framework, or, better get deeper on servlet library?
2. What framework do you use most for developing web application?
3. Book recommendation will be very useful for me.

I'll appreciate any help you do

Thanks...

1. I think frameworks conceal important details, beginners should would with the bare servlet API, it may be all you ever need.

Get Tomcat, install as an application NOT a service.
Study the servlet and JSP examples that come with tomcat - try modifying them to see what happens.
Get reallllly familiar with navigating the servlet and JSP API in JavaDoc form as provided in the Tomcat installation.

What William said... don't get involved with frameworks until you have a thorough understanding of servlets and JSP -- much more than just having read a book on them.
