GUI in java

Hi all,

I am new to java. I would like to create a GUI. A simple application would be some thing like, The user gives a input, depending on which the data is featched from the DB. can I do this using Swings and frams. Please help.

I don't know what frams is and I can't find anything. However for creating a GUI you could use swing or awt. I would recommend swing
because it has more options, looks nicer and is more up to date. Just read the swing tutorial.
