Struts application on Intranet

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hello All,

I want to develop a web application in java struts. But unfortunately my client is saying me to install it on his intranet server. I dont now how can I protect my code. Anybody who knows basic java can get the code and decompile it and use it (And he do not need to do anything for JSPs ... ).

Please tell me how can I protect my code.

Regards,
Ron

Decompilation into something *useful* is difficult.

You *could* encrypt it, but there are (relatively) easy ways around this as well. There are hardware dongles, but they slow things down.

What makes you think it needs protecting?

Hey David!

They have all JSPs as well as class file. I think it is quite easy for them to decompile my code.

Once they have decompiled the code they can sell or modify it !!!

Get them to sign a licensing agreement and hire a decent lawyer.

Otherwise, obsfucate your code and keep your fingers crossed.
It will give me the powers of the gods. Not bad for a tiny ad:
