I've read a few tutorials on JavaServer Faces but I haven't seen any interesting functional examples that demonstrate the GUI widgets the framework is suppose to provide. Can anyone recommend a link(s) to such an example? Thanks in advance.

Did you checkout the Tree as an example of custom widgets?

I was hoping for a deployed, operational, and publicly visible example.

I tried finding one a couple months ago and had no luck. Mostly I found tutorials that were 95% accurate at best. One of the better ones was on the IBM site.
Links to just about every JSF resource in www existance can be found at jsfcentral.com
Oh, and JSF does come packaged with examples starring Duke. That might be your best bet. Most of them are to illustrate specific components and there's one for customizing a car purchase that's really nice.

There are several articles and tutorials on my JavaServer Faces resources page that have sample applications, however, I'm not aware of any large public websites utilizing JSF yet.

Public deployments... That is far in the future
Think about it: No vendor even has a final JSF implementation released yet.
IBM implementation is a beta release.
Dont know about BEA & other app servers.

Exactly. You might also check out MyFaces which is an Open Source implementation of the JSF 1.0 Spec. They have some demos you can download and run.

What I meant by "publicly visible" is a publicly visible URL to a working demo, not a commercial installation. I was hoping for a link I could pass on to some offsite peers who I know will not go to the trouble to deploy a suggested demo (i.e. .Net fans).
