Hi all,

I've taken the SCEA 5.0 exam and I failed for 1 question!!, I made the 1.3 certificate and was much more easy than the new one, I bought wizlabs mock exams and are nothing compare with the real exam, the level is so low, I'll start to study hard and next time I'll get 99%

Cheers,

Howdy Greenhorn!

Lots of people take the exam a few times before finding success. Don't get discouraged.

One thing you've got to do is participate more on the JavaRanch. See if you can improve on that number of posts! Ask lots of questions, and don't be afraid to ask a question or two. And participating in Java discussions is alot of fun. So, get involved!

Also, update your handle to your real name. We like to see people using their real names. It always makes us help more if we know we're helping out a real person.

JavaRanch Naming Policy

We're looking forward to hearing from you alot more! We'll help you nail that SCEA cert.

I'm interested in your take on Whizlabs? What was the issue you found with them? Just not challenging enough? Tell me more, tell me more...

"Accept failure and try again" is best option and which you are doing already.

As per you, what do you think, what didn't work for you ? like lack of knowledge ? or applicability of knowledge in real scenario ?

I know no mock exam is close to real and we can't depend on them

Hi Greenhorn,

I am one of the co-founders of Whizlabs and have recently resumed Whizlabs after a break of around 2.5 years. It has always been my pleasure participating at JavaRanch and we owe a lot to this community.

I really feel sorry for your experience. We are in the process of updating/revamping few of our Java certification products and trainings and SCEA Exam Prep is one of them. We will truly appreciate if you can provide your inputs in terms of the gaps you identified in our product so that we can ensure that the future users of our product don't go through the same experience you've had. Please feel free to write to me directly at pradeep (at) whizlabs (dot) com.

Once again, our apologies for your experience. Please do mail us for the refund request if you have not already done that.

Looking forward to your support!

Best wishes,
Pradeep Chopra

Hi all and thanks for your answers, sorry for don't answer before but this week was quite busy, as I included in the topic the exam was quite hard for the level I prepared so now I'm doing the good homework to success with enough percentage,

Thanks again and have a really good weekend!

Thanks Prathap! I appreciate your kind words.

Hi Greenhorn (David) - I received your valuable feedback on my mail. Thanks for the same. I suggest that you change your user name here to reflect your true name.

Keep participating at JavaRanch and looking forward to serve you again at Whizlabs.

Best wishes,
Pradeep
