Hello everyone,

Can anyone suggest me a books of Java collection from which i can get a clear concept on collection(Java 5 and 6 related with generics)?

another question, is applet is demanding now-a-days. Is it going to be effective to learn applets? Is there any other alternative of applets on java?

Please, help me to know. I am waiting for your reply.

Thanks

I would be very surprised if anyone asked you to create an applet today.

Applets work fine (and are what you'd use if the solution had to be in Java). But other technologies like Flash/Flex and Silverlight have far surpassed them in popularity.

Yes, it is made in GWT, I am glad you liked it.

You are right on the part that it converts Java to javascript,
however I believe its not heavy weight..
It is true that as your application gets larger and larger the server side compiling takes longer time, but the client does not increase in size
considerably.

Couple of companies are now switching to GWT,
Google's docs, (and i guess even orkut) is made in GWT.

Salvin,
Your site is cool.
Is it pure GWT or did you create and use custom widgets?

Pure GWT 1.7, no other libraries used.
I created those widgets.
