The requirement of the assignment are to allow booking and searching for rooms. But in my application, I plan to filter records that date available has passed - meaning old records won't be shown in JTable. So, the question is, the accessors will not be able to book or search for records since the data in the .db file are older than today's date.
Is it ok? Or else, I would need to add a function to add new records so that the accessors would be able to test out new records.
Like Roberto already mentioned: just implement the things that are required, no need to do extras (you won't receive extra points, in fact you may only lose points when it has a flaw for example).
Because I use a record cache I mentioned your approach (filtering old records when initializing the record cache in Data class) as a solution for handling memory issues when the size of the database file keeps increasing (in my choices.txt). But I didn't implement it (even the 48 hours rule I just ignored, a decision which was explained too in the decisions document).
Thank you that's what I thought the answer would be . But still seems a bit weird that the application would not be that useful if administration functions are not included. Anyway, I will only provide the book and search method, as required by the assignment.
