Hi

I am new to Tiles. When we define a tile in an XML file, the syntax is

<definition name="name of tile" path="abc.jsp" extends="parent tile">
<put name="" value="">

Just wanted to know the significance of the path and extends attributes.

Does the path give a mapping to the jsp so only that particular jsp can use that tile?

And what is the significance of extends? Is it so that abc.jsp can use properties of the parent tile?

Thanks,
Praneet
