i like to build web GUI based on tomcat BUT localy

Hello all
i like to develop desktop app but with different approach
i like to develop the application on top tomcat and use jsp as the GUI.
all together coupled , the problem im facing is how to cause this combination to act
as close as desktop app.
for example when i start tomcat in windows i see the black dos/prompt windows , how can i make it disappear?

I think the way to do that is to use "javaw" instead of "java" to start the process.
