Can we use Java Server Faces 2.0 to replace the presentation layer and the back end of an application which is coded in XSL, XSLT, Dojo and Spring ? Can we reuse the data islands already existing or have to start from scratch ? JSF 2.0 running on Tomcat performs well or you will need a Java EE Server for JSF ?
Thanks in advance for all your input.

If the front end is done using XSL[T] and Dojo, all of that would need to go (otherwise integration would be very difficult). The backend Spring and data islands should be reusable just fine. You should be able to do JSF 2.0 in Tomcat 6.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
