I was looking at this tutorial :
http://www.w3schools.com/Css/css_image_transparency.asp

and based on that, i wrote this code:

to my suprise, it didnt work in IE7.
It works in FF and chrome though.

I do not want a seperate css class but I need to embed it.
What am i doing wrong here ?

Problem resolved,

Stupid IE requires a call to has layout.

while there are many methods,
I prefer zoom:1
plain and simple.

use PNG semi transparent image and apply iepngfix code for i.e 6

WHY would you want to use an image that requires a HACK and a download when a simple CSS solution exists? Very bad idea.
