Problem with rendering of unwanted white spae after an application conversion to eliminate scriplets going to JSP 2.0. In IE text fields render unwanted white space. Running the application in Firefox displays properly. In IE the data in text boxes appear to be missing. The data is there, but does not appear unless you manually delete the white space. Also started utilizing I am using HTML 4.01 Specification with CSS stylesheets wheareas current production code only uses CSS stylesheets. Please help!

man your post is very cryptic on what the problem is. Show us some mark up, code is better than trying to explain it in words.

View the page's generated source code, do you see crazy amounts of whitespace there?

Code? How can we help if we can't see how you are coding the relevant portions of the page?

THIS POST HAS BEEN EDITED FOR READABILITY:
Yes, there is huge amount of whitespace when viewing source. Below is jsp code. Still makes no sense why it displays perfectly in Firefox, but not IE. Please let me know if you need to see other code. Yes, I am new at this.

Rendered values had crriage returns

Do you really expect us to look through all that unformatted code? Pare it down to the relevant portions, and use code tags to preserve its format.

It turns out the problem occurred after developer performed code cleanup for readability.

A carriage return and tabs were made inside the double quotes in value attribute of input tags of C:IF statements. As it happens IE is handling it properly and Firefox is not.
