Dear All,
Am new to EJB. Do not know anything about that. I know servlet and jsp. Current version of EJB is 3.0.
Is EJB2.1 base of EJB3.0? Should i buy old version of Head First EJB just to clear basic concepts of EJB.
Will it be useful to learn old version, and only update certain new topics of 3.0 version.
Thanks

You should buy a book for EJB3.0 instead. A recommended one is EJB3 In Action.

EJB 2.1 is an earlier and an amazingly more complex version of the EJB 3.0 technology.

To learn EJB 3.0 you don't need to know anything about EJB 2.1 at all.

I find the "EJB 3 in Action" book to be really good for this purpose as it does not assumes that the reader is aware of the EJB technology or is even exposed to it.

Regards,
Mrinal
