Guys i have a question?
i m very new to Spring n hibernate.

So if i have used the hiberbate in my project for dao layer..exactly like here http://techtracer.com/2008/12/30/the-great-hibernate-tutorial-a-great-jump-start-for-beginners/
then can i said that i have used Spring for my project.

Meaning if i have used the same code for database access layer as above link,is that mean that i used both spring n hibernate or i have just used the hibernate.

Please help me
Thanks

If you have anything in your project which is managed by Spring, then you can say that you are using Spring. How do you access your DAO ?

No, there is absolutely nothing in that tutorial that is Spring related. It is only about Hibernate.

Spring framework allows you to integrate with external APIs other than its own features. One of them is integration with ORM APIs like Hibernate.

If you use org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.HibernateTemplate as your session factroty in your Spring config file, then you have Spring integrated with Hibernate in your project.

The tutorial has nothing to do with spring. If you want to use spring, you'll have to define some spring managed beans (in an XML file or using annotations).
