I am trying to make a html link using the Struts JSP link tag like this:

<html:link href="http://test.com/index?user=<%=((User) session.getAttribute('user')).getLanId()%>" />

The session variable won't evaluate when combined with the static URL. It evaluates just fine when by itself. I am not set on using the Struts <html:link> tag so if a standard JSP or JSTL tag will create the link, I may be able to use that. Any ideas on how to get it to work?

<html:link href="http://test.com/index" paramName="user" paramProperty="lanId">

Try this one, hope this solves...
<html:link href="http://test.com/index?user=" + <%=session.getAttribute('user')%> />

Please be sure to ask Struts questions in the Struts forum. I have moved this post there for you.
