I dont think certificate says anything about the marks. It just says pass or fail

You will get two different sheets. One you will receiver right after you took the exam which shows your scores in all of the tested topics. This helps to find strength and weaknesses of yours.

The certificate only states that you have passed the test. It's a rich paper and contains an emblem (in case somebody cares to know :-) )

I dont think recruiters will take you on the basis of just having SCJP certificate.

One thing is sure, this exam will help you in building your java concepts

In all the interviews that I have given, I have never asked for the score -- nor even cared about the score. Why? Because a score doesn't mean much.

The person who took the test could have crammed for months, and got a perfect score because he/she memorized everything. Or the person could be working really long hours as a Java developer (in a real job), didn't have much time to study, and got a so-so score.

I don't care about the score. In fact, I don't care about the SCJP. I only care about the skills that he/she is bringing to the interview. If you can't hold your own on the topic, I don't care how many certs you have, or the score.

If anything, the SCJP and other certifications show dedication, thats all. You can pass the test without really being able to write good code.
