There is online tutorial on this site which will teach how to use this i have used this alternative found it very much easier then tiles

I didn't find SiteMesh useful. It just seems to me that "decorating" pages is completely different from having a "composition" of pages. (Two different patterns in GoF and J2EE if I remember correctly). SiteMash seems un-intuitive to me. Am I wrong? Can you really do everything you can do in Tiles, with SiteMesh, with the same or lesser amount of effort and complexity?
