Hello!

I'm new to this forum (and Java...) and I registered, because the book "Head First Java" tells me i should do that.

It also tells me the following: "The SDK does not include an API documentation, and you need that! Go back to java.sun.com and get the J2SE API documentation". That's my problem...where on that website can I download it? Sun's website is so confusing, I'm really tired of looking around on it. There's a whole lot of downloads and stuff I never heard of. I already installed JDK 6. What else do I really need to be able to learn the Java basics? And where can I find it?

Thank you for your help in advance,

Ijad

Ijad,
Welcome to the Ranch.

You can download the API docs from http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp (Scroll down a bit till the section titled "Java SE 6 Documentation"
