Hi guys!
Just to let you know that yesterday I passed the
SCJP exam with 93% score. This is how I prepared, perhaps it's useful for someone to read this:
- read the Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates book; buy it, it's really worth it! Even if you weren't studying for the certification, it's a great book. Also, the cd that comes with it contains a great program with mock questions and exams
- read that book again: you never get everything at the first reading, especially the most difficult bits that then you find in the toughest questions
- code, code, code: there's nothing better to really learn how things work
-
ExamLab: this is really a great tool, I found it great for practicing. 5 complete mock exams, with very difficult questions and very good explanations. If you can pass this, you'll surely score more than 90% in the real exam. I never got more than 60% in those exams, and then scored 93%. And, this tool is free!
Thanks to you all guys, it helped me a lot to follow this forum, and when I had questions you were always great!
Cheers
Mattia
