hello

I've had netbeans 6.8 installed but I'm having some problems adding external javadocs.
I'm using free form project, I've added the libraries with no problem, I got all the code hint and syntax highlighting and such, but I just can't get the javadocs to work.
been a while since I last used netbeans, the layout seem to have changed.

also, whenever I press alt+F1 it just say cannot perform javadoc here, even the native javadoc doesn't show up. I only get it in code completion popups.

will be great if anyone can help, thanks

I've added javadocs for various JARs to my projects in NetBeans 6.8 without any issues. Could you give a specific example of a JAR file included within a project, how you added the javadoc to that JAR, and exactly what you are doing in the editor to have the javadoc show up? Always TellTheDetails.

I've attached a screenshot of how I added the JARs, I've never tried importing javadoc before in netbeans, you need to add the javadocs inside the JAR? I have the docs as folders with html inside. I tried adding the docs in the Java platform Manager, Javadoc tab, Add zip/folder... guess thats the wrong place. and I can't find where the library manager is

by the way its a Java free-form project

thanks
