Can some one please clarify the below question (HFS Mock Exam)
Which statements about HTTP Session are true?
A. Java EE Containers must support HTTP Cookies
B. Java EE Containers must support URL rewriting
C.Java EE Containers must support SSL
D.Java EE Containers must support HTTP sessions, even for clients that do not support cookies
Answer as mentioned in the book - A, C, D
I thought URL Rewriting is a mandatory for the web container and not SSL. D itself implies B . I thought the answer would be A, B, D Can some please correct
Ankit Garg wrote:This is an error in the book. Checkout the errata. Option B should be
"Java EE Containers may support URL rewriting"
Which makes the option false as a container must support URL rewriting...
I can't agree with this. In the errata's link we can find:
Note from the Author or Editor:
The mock exam question 14 on pg 834 is formally correct because the Servlet spec says "URL rewriting may be used by the server". The use of the word "may" means that URL rewriting is not required by the spec.
So if there was the "may" word, the answer would be correct - now with "must" is incorrect.
