Thanks to Sang Shin for your free (when I took it) online course, it got me started in
Java. I love your moniker, technology evangelist. The Sun tutorials were a great second step. Thanks to all of the folks at Sun, Java is a tremendous language;
you should feel proud of what you’ve accomplished! Thanks to Javaranch, you all helped a lot along the way. It was the prodding of the Javaranch contributors that finally convinced me to buy a study guide. Which leads to a huge thanks to the team of Bates and Sierra and their excellent study guide; it was fantastic to have all of the needed information directly at hand. You highlighted the most relevant information, provided insights to the workings of the language, threw in best practices, and even had me laughing (I’m an easy/geeky audience).
Thanks all,
There is a strong Java community
and I feel like I've become a part of it :-)
