Hibernate with MySql or MS Acess in Standalone Application ?

hi, i am not able to decide which database to use with Hibernate , MS Access or MySql ? for Standalone JAVA Swing base Desktop Application.
i have one thing to do with this application is that,
user should be able to run application from pen-drive .
how it can be done with hibernate +MySql.
i apology if i have asked Qn in wrong forum.

I actually have MySQL on a pen drive, and often move from laptop to laptop and just plug it in and access it. It's just my development stuff, but it works.

hibernate with MS Access is good choice or should i go with MySQL ? i require to keep Database in pen-drive ....

Nothing with Access is a good choice. This is not anti-MS sentiment, there are no freely available type 4 JDBC drivers for Access. Hiberntae does not officially support Access either.

If you are looking for an in-memory database you might find Hypersonic or Derby a better fit.

In memory, and 'from pen drive' are two different concepts.

The databases Paul suggested are excellent.

As I mentioned, MySQL will definitely run from a pen drive.

i will try out MySQL in pendrive.
