The JavaRanch Bunkhouse is a great place to start to find books.

There you will find not only lists of books on various Java and web-related subjects, but expert reviews of these books.

Take a look!

Have a look at the JspFaq, available on the Ranch. It includes great resource links, including the location of the free edition of the Core Servlets and JavaServer Pages book.

I am new to JSP but not in Servlets. I learned basic concepts about servlets on faculity. I am working on creating a master work and professor gave me proposal to do it in JSP and Servlets. Database is Oracle. So now i want to find some usefull books for learning. Firsly simplier books, after that complex books. Thank you..

The Head First Servlets and JSP book is quite popular.

Although the Head First books are quite popular, I personally found them to be a bit too cartoonish for my taste. I really liked the Core Servlets and JavaServer Pages book mentioned earlier. The author has a second book, More Servlets and JavaServer Pages as well. Both books are free for download from the book's web sites.

Which ever book(s) you choose, I'm sure you'll be satisfied. I find it much easier to learn this stuff from books rather than online tutorials, etc. They're good too, but I find the books go into much more detail and are easier to follow. Your mileage may vary, of course.

Best of luck.

According to me "Beginning Java Server Pages" by Wrox publications is a excellent book for learning jsp. You can try that.
