Hi there,

I am posting this problem again becos i have posted it before at

https://coderanch.com/t/48802/Struts/Missing-request-parameters-after-servlet

and cant seem to get an answer to this problem, basically, I am currently using struts and am using action chaining, however i realize that when a request comes in with parameters , the corrresponding action class gets activated and then it forwards to another action class , then that action class forwards to a jsp page, now the thing is when it reaches the jsp page, the request parameters mysteriously goes missing, i got a null, but i am able to retrieve those parameters in the first action class. am i missing something here? or is this an inherent problem in struts? is so, how do i work around it? putting the request parameters as attributes seem like an ugly workaround, can someone enlighten me? Thanks!!

It might help if you post some code from your first and second Action classes and the relevant parts of the struts-config.xml

I tried to duplicate your problem, however I am able to keep request parameters around long enough to display them on the following page (and yes I'm chaining Actions).

You'll have to post more info on what version you're using and some code otherwise I can not figure out your issue as it is working fine for me.

You showed up just in time for the waffles! And this tiny ad:
