I have a simple screen with 2 buttons and on clicking submit button a new window is opened asking for confirmation.
I do this with pretty ease with swingworker rendering a runnable when its a dispatch thread else i use Invokelater on the Eventqueue.

Is there something wrong with this approach?

A modal JDialog, possibly JOptionPane, is much easier.
