I just checked the price online. Is it Rs. 2000+??
Why is it so costly this time, books for previous exams (5 and 1.4) were < Rs. 1000 /-.

the price is shown rs 2000 but if you look at some local book centers you will get the book at rs 550 and some will offer 10% discount on that
you will get it at rs 495 and the book is original don't worry about that
I bought it just 1 month ago in Aurangabad, Maharashtra at rs 495
You will definitely get it at no more that 550

I got my copy here.
There is a variation in content from the paper-book and accompanying e-book that comes with CD.

The paper book has 10 chapters
while the ebook extends upto 18 chapters.

Those 8 seems to be for developer exams, does it mean the content of developer exam is not available on my copy or is it that its not available in any book published in Indian subcontinent? It is highly likely that it would be second case, as I see the book is already compiled up with almost around 900 pages.

I also have the Indian edition of the book, but even the US edition of the book has 850 pages (same as Indian edition) so I suppose those chapters are just in the ebook version. Those chapters have nothing to do with SCJP, they are for SCJD. They are like a bonus ...
