Hi Ranchers,

Please have a look at this question from Whizlab Practice Test. how do you think of option C? I think B is more appropriate as it removes java codes and make jsp more neat and readable.

ABC Company has an old web application built using Servlets/JSP and in-house MVC framework. You are asked for
expert advice on improving the quality of code as ABC Company has to spend lot of money time and again even
for small changes in the application. Looking at the code, you have observed that lot of java code has been used
in JSP and has been duplicated in multiple instances.
Which of the following technologies would you recommend to use?

a. AJAX
b. Tag Libraries
c. Expression Language
d. Rewrite whole application using JSF.

Option B can help modularise the logic and help reuse.
Option C is correct as EL would help in improving the reusability and also in passing parameters to any custom tag
libraries.

Option A is incorrect as AJAX code executes on browser side.
Option D is incorrect as the problem is only with JSP's. There is no need to rewrite the whole web code.

Danny,

i had same problem with question in Whizlab mock exam. the only reason which i was able to think to rule out option B is it is mentioned "Tag Libraries" means standard tag libraries Not "Custom Tag Libraries".

Not sure this is the right reason or not. But from javaranch found that real exam will not have this kind of doubt, and question would be much more clear.
