Hi,

Say I have a java web application using jsp/spring/stripes; I have a JSP that lists some data.

For example, I may have 1000 rows of data, I would need some method of searching for the particular data I want. Rather than coding a form, taking in user input, then creating some JDBC statement to search, is there any framework/api that makes this much simpler?

Maybe I'm too optimistic about this, but is there an API that provides a search form, maps that onto domain objects and allows you to search based on criteria of your object?

Could you use JDBC statment to search on SQL database? I think there maybe have't a well-rounded and available solution? instead of using persistence framework such as ibatics or hibernate as you can, But this is only make up JDBC statement to search based on criteria of your object. and if you are simplex application this will be let you project become complex.
