Hi all
this is my first post . i am new to java ranch... i have started my study on SCJP.. i don't know how much time time it will take me.. just concentrating on the book K & B.. open for any valuable suggestions from fellow ranchers.

Welcome to Javaranch.

Well, i think so you are on the right path. Prepare through K&B thoroughly. Appear for master exam. Then download the
exam lab simulator and different mock exams and try your luck with them. Frequently consult with JLS and Java API Docs.
Well, it takes upto 2 months to prepare the exam and it really depends on your own understand and experience with Java.

All the best to you first of all.

Go through the K&B book and once you are done with it try mock tests which are available here in Javaranch. As prithvi said download the examlab mock scjp simulator and work on it. If needed go through the k&B book again. Once you are confident go for the exam.
