Hello:

I have IBM RAD for WebSphere, Version: 7.5.5 and am running WebSphere 7 on my computer. I am on Windows XP. Literature tells me RAD should be set up for profiling out of the box but I cannot start the server in Profile mode. Normal and Debug modes work fine. Here is the message I get on startup:

The log file native_stderr.log tells me:

It looks like the command is getting caught with the space in "Program Files". Can anybody tell me how to fix this in RAD? Thanks.

Eric

Hey John,

Were you able to get past this error? I'm stuck with the same issue.

Thanks

Hi,

Even i am facing the same problem. I have IBM Rational Software Architect(RSA) 7.5.4 for Websphere installed on my machine. Websphere 7 is being used here. Please let me know if anyone has any suggestion. Thanks in advance

Not sure if this was the right solution. But I ended up installing my RSA directly under the C:\. That helped.

I too was stuck with the same issue but was able to resolve after uninstalling complete IBM package from my machine (including installation manager and delivery platform) from Program Files directory and then later installing all one by one in C:/IBM directory directly.

Issue is with the initialization code of profiler, the command running the main method takes the location of SDP70Shared directory from Program Files and having a space " " between 'Program' and 'Files' was creating the problem.

Hope this helps.
