I realize its political policies which make me angry more than anything else. You see/hear/experince something and you feel helpless/ infuriated/frustrated and you also know or believe the source of this is political policy, yet you can't do anything because of the sense of hopelessness/resignation/not wanting to disturb the herd. Also you fear becoming an outcast or being persecuted for your unconventional/controversial/radical views.
So how do you, on the one hand detach yourself from the source of your anger which is the status quo and at the same time stay connected to vision of the ideal tomorrow?
how can you keep thinking it will be better one day when you feel its getting worse by the day?
How can you stay connected to the ideal vision of the future when you are also connected to history, and you know that if history repeats itself, then that ideal vision may never come to pass?
I think it all starts with respect. Respect for other's opinions, ideals, courage, choices, lifestyle, etc. Rather than poking fun or being disrespectful, try and understand their side of things. Walk a mile in their shoes. You don't have to come out the other side agreeing with them but at the very least, you understand them a bit better.
And the best thing is, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything. Please read that until it is engraved into your soul. You'll be a much better person if you do.
What could go wrong in a swell place like "The Evil Eye"? Or with this tiny ad?
