Hello all

I am fairly new at Programming, or at least in writing codes that actually works...

And I have a rather big problem. I need to make a interface in java to connect to movie converter program to convert mpeg4 (i think atleast that the format) to a more effiecnt format.

Any clues or hints on how to start?

Yours
Ronny

Welcome to JavaRanch. Please UseAMeaningfulSubjectLine when you post a new topic on the forums.

What movie converter program are you using? Does it have some way of being programmatically controlled via a Java program? If not, then it's going to be very hard. What do you mean by a "more efficient" format, do you have a specific format in mind? What exactly is your Java program going to have to do?
