Hi everyone. It's me. My sincerest apologies for seeming to abandon my post and dump everything on Jason. I do have an excuse, although it seems feeble, I have been through the wringer this past month and a half. You see, I found out on March 2nd that the house in which we'd been living for 5 and 1/2 years was being put on the market, and we had to deal with people tramping in and out looking at the place as well as painters, appraisers, handymen and the like coming over at odd times, which disrupted my ROUTINE as well as my digestion.
The outcome of all this was that we had to find a rental for ourselves, our 3 cats, and 21 rabbits, and then find a home for our duck. Amazingly, we actually did. But the new place is 1/3 the size of the old one, and I've been living out of boxes for about 1 month while I try to stuff a 3 bedroom house into a 1-bedroom house. I've just now found a safe corner for my beloved computer, and enough time to check in.
Actually, I'm substitute teaching a 4-5 grade class today, and the kids are outside, so I grabbed this moment to post this.
I can't wait to get back into the mix, and get some normalcy back into my life!
Again, my sincerest apologies for dropping off the face of the earth for a few weeks. I think I've sufficiently recovered enough to resume my duties, and I will be checking in tonight when I get home.
I've missed you all terribly!!!

Wow, 3 cats, 21 rabbits and 1 duck!!!

That's truly impressive. How do you manage to look after so many animals?

I have been rotating 3 pairs of socks for about 6 weeks now. I can't find the box with my underwear, either..............
As for tending to the critters, they are amazingly easy to care for, but filling 21 water bottles every day does take a little bit of time!

You mean the rabbits don't share water bottles? If they had to wait in line to get a drink maybe they'd multiply slower...
