Hi All ,

Budgets are tight and I will not be able to get my team a commerical IDE . We have until now been using either JBuilder foundation edition or Net beans or Eclipse .

The whole idea of JSF is the productivity gains from the coding model . But my question here is : without an IDE will there be any gain at all ???

Please share your experience ....
thanks
kpt

Yes!

JSF is handling some of the nitty gritty code for you. You don't need a special editor to take advantage of that.

You may want to check out Faces Console. It is a FREE JSF tool that plugs into all of the major IDEs including the free ones (Ecliose, NetBeans).

Faces Console doesn't provide the functionality of a commercial tool, but it is very popular nonetheless.
