Hi,
I have been offered the "Role of Associate Technology L2" in a say X company.
I have 3.2 years of experience as Software Engineer(promoted from Junior Software Engineer).
I do not know if the hierarchy of Software Engineer to "Role of Associate Technology L2 " is meaningful or not.
Can anyone help me understand in this regard?

You'd have to just ask them what your responsibilities to me. That title doesn't make sense in English, so it's hard to help. Every company has their own collection of titles, and they may not be equivalent across different companies.

You better to check with X company HR about the organization hierarchy. But in my opinion the title names does not make much sense and in practical your roles and responsibilities might be different. But your position in the hierarchy may decide some of your benefits.

Just a guess, it could be related to L2 support.

I called up the HR and she said its the same as Senior Software Engineer.
I have been working as a Java Developer in my company.
So,I asked her the job role/responsibilities.
She said its got to do with the entire cycle of SDLC(starting from requirements gathering).
What do I do now?
Do I accept it with a reply on the email(sort of written confirmation)?
Please help.

Hi Nikhil, The designations differ from company to company so the designation offered "Associate Technology L2" in the company is for the band between 3 to 5 years which is equivalent to Sr. Software engineer.

Are you asking us if you should accept the job? I don't know how we could possibly answer that.

As usual before you take a promotion you should ask them what are the responsibilities you will do so that you can make some adjustment. Every promotion is a sign that the hard work you did in that company had a result.
