Java code I've written is occasionally experiencing problems. Sometimes it's "unexpected signal 11", sometimes it's a scavenge error. Both errors generate the following:

For more information, try running with the following environment variables set:
setenv JAVA_CORE_DUMP
setenv JAVA_PRINT_CRASH_INFO
setenv JAVA_SIGNAL_HANDLER_HANG

My question is - what do I set these environment variables to? Are they setting a location for output (e.g. "setenv JAVA_CORE_DUMP coreDump.txt")? Are they merely setting an option on???

I'm running Java 1.4.1 on the IRIX 6.5 OS. This OS is no longer supported by SGI, so the Java version I'm using is the last version available. No chance of upgrading either.

Thanks!
