This is great day for me. After two months two hours per day learning I have "successfully fulfilled requirements" of SCDJWS 5.
I bought voucher with "take a deep breath" programm, but second approach was not needed.
For a preparation I used Mikalai Zaikin materials and Ivan A Krizsan notes. Thanks for this people.
Thanks for my patient wife and my four (impatient) dauthers to.

Let me leave here a personal comment.
I planned last saturday 10.04.2010 will by my last day of preparation. I planned hard work whole day. But from nine o'clock I spend rest of day watching TV news from Smolensk.
I dedicate this exam results to my country: Poland.

Hubert, congratulations on your success. I'm glad my study material helped.

Please, accept my condolences. Belarusians express sorrow at death of Polish President Lech Kaczynski and Polish political elite.

Калі ласка, прыміце мае спачуванні. Беларусы выказваюць смутак па загінуўшым Прэзідэнту Польшчы Леху Качыньскаму і прадстаўнікам польскай палітычнай эліты.

Congrats Hubert!!!

I am preparing for the Web Services exam. I have a question about which site to use to learn about Web Services Interoperability.

Is it this one http://www.ws-i.org/Profiles/BasicProfile-1_2(WGAD).html or

this one http://www.w3.org/TR/soap12-part0/, http://www.w3.org/TR/soap12-part1/ and http://www.w3.org/TR/soap12-part2/.

Thanks,
Porchelvi

Hello Porchelvi !

I'm not Hubert, but will try to answer.

For Web services interoperability for SCDJWS 5.0 you should refer WS-I BP 1.1 (http://www.ws-i.org/Profiles/BasicProfile-1.1.html)

Best regards,
MZ

Thanks Mikalai. But I just have a follow-up question. If I follow http://www.ws-i.org/Profiles/BasicProfile-1.1.html then should I just ignore the parts about SOAP specification since the content in this link contains the specifications for SOAP 1.1 and not SOAP 1.2. I need to know SOAP 1.2 for the exam right?

Please advise.

Thanks,
Porchelvi

Hi Porchelvi !

From my personal and other test takers' experience I can say that SCDJWS 5.0 exam is still based on SOAP 1.1.

Best regards,
MZ

Hi Mikalai,

Thanks for your response.

I visited the sun site to find the details of the exam Sun Certified Developer for Java Web Services CX-310-230

This link has SOAP 1.2 as the scope of the exam.

Section 2: SOAP 1.2 Web Service Standards
List and describe the encoding types used in a SOAP message.
Describe the SOAP Processing and Extensibility Model.
Describe SOAP Message Construct and create a SOAP message that contains an attachment.

Please clarify. Please let me know if I am missing any information about the scope of the exam.

Thanks.
