Expect between 9 LPA to 12 LPA, though there are lot of factors affecting salary. The most important being your CTC.

CTC is the Cost to Company which means that is the salary willing to pay you including your Basic + HRA + Allowances + Retire benefits etc., and excluding variable pay (some companies include this also in CTC )

9 LPA to 12 LPA ...I think that depends on category of the company Tier-1 product based companies can pay much higher than this...if service based tier-2/tier-3 company then they may not pay you even this much

but it all depends on your current CTC + what you bring on the table??? Also I don't think thier is any major big shot companies based out in chennai...but still cannot comment.
on an average should pay 10LPA-14LPA if the company is good enough ...

Any company specific discussions are not allowed in this forum. Its very simple to find out, just google it .

Also keep in mind it is very difficult to crack a product based company interview specially if the company is pioneer in its quality of products...you may end up getting in depression as the question asked during the interviews may raise question lot of your abilities... I do keep hearing about horrifying experiences from candidates having 5-6 yrs of experience in java/j2ee and still struggling to clear such interviews...According to them the interview questions are irrelevant and has nothing to do with their projects but they ask such questions to filter out candidates and take only the best of talent available in the market.

Generally I have heard product based companies do not offer variable pay, or they do not at least disclose in the offer letters, for rest of the companies variable increases as you go up in the hierarchy. Typically variable can be 12%-18% of fixed compensation plus top it with joining/relocation bonus.

You can expect at least 30% raise from your current Cost To Company if the company is good enough, rest depends on your negotiations skills and what you bring on the table...

if you have received hike recently then wait for 3 more months so that your experience is 4 yrs then you might get higher designation like Senior Software Engineer/Sr. Technology Associate...
