Hello,

I've read through the Head First book twice & I'm reasonably comfortable with the material. Is it really necessary to read the specs in detail for the exam (they're quite large from what I see)? Would reading Head First along with the API documentation be sufficient?

Thanks.

Reading the specs is not necessary for the exam. The specs are big, but they are not that huge when your read them. Also reading only part 1 of the JSP spec is enough, rest of the JSP spec is not required for the exam. I read the specs and it cleared a lot of stuff in my mind, without that I could've got a good score on the exam, but reading them makes me more comfortable and confident about Servlets and JSP...

Thanks for the advice. I have the exam coming up soon so I think I'll skim through the relevant parts of the specs as suggested, rather than reading them entirely.
