filter in web.xml

I have a spring web app, which I have defined its filter in the web.xml. I want to have another filter, myFilter, to be in web app. But when I put this filter in the web.xml. The project cannot be deployed at all and says SEVERE: Error filterStart

Where is it wrong to have this filter?

It most likely can't find the filter class. Did you put the class file in the right place?

I just checked the eclipse generated war file. I don't know since when eclipse stopped compiling... The path and java file is correct, but .class is not there

I corrected eclipse setup and have the .class included in the war file. But I still got the same error...
What other things should I check? Thanks
