hi every one,

pageContext is an implicit object available in JSP page.

Iam unable to understand the use of pageContext. I have gone through the documentation but still unable to understand

Here is what the documentation says

PageContext extends JspContext to provide useful context information for when JSP technology is used in a Servlet environment.

What the above point means? does it means that context parameters from web.xml file. We have implicit application object for get context information.

A PageContext instance provides access to all the namespaces associated with a JSP page, provides access to several page attributes, as well as a layer above the implementation details. Implicit objects are added to the pageContext automatically.

What are the namespaces associated with a JSP page and what is the use in getting them?

Provides access to several page attributes, as well as a layer above the implementation details

what it means by layer above implementation details?

Implicit objects are added to the pageContext automatically.
Anyhow they exist in jsp page what is the use in getting added to pageContext?

So, confused....... What can be achieved with pageContext that cannot be achieved with other implicit objects?

Need help, thanks in advance ......

The other implicit objects are conveniences that are all derived from the page context.

I don't like that guy. The tiny ad agrees with me.
