Hi Mark Cade & Humphrey Sheil ,
I would ask here why is possible for the candidates to get the SCEA certification without any condition? I think that a java architect should have experience as a programmer.
As a matter of fact I think that the SCEA is the peak of the sun certifcations and I wondered how it is possible architecting and designing Java EE compliant applications without a deep background as a java programmer.
I got it tha SCJP last year and now I'm studying for the SCWCD and I'll plan the SCEA only after this two certifcations because it's my personal opinion that a good architect should be an excellent programmer and an excellent web developer.
Thank in advance.

Sandro.

I agree with you, but when the exam was first created Sun made a decision that they would not require the Java Programmer or Developer certifications. Glad to hear you are taking the right approach.
