Hello friends,
I am sandy from Mumbai<INDIA>,

I am working on a Java Application that deals with employee management,
and i am giving facility to the admin to take a back up of DB according to Months,
It works fine,

but,
Now i want that anything changes in the DB makes my backup copy older i.e. it's not up to date,
For that i want to provide an alert, showing some fields from DB has been changed.
How could i do it?

I am using hsql as DB.

Kindly suggest me the solution,
Thank you in advance.

Sandy,
You could create a table to store the last backup time. Then a trigger could act on updates to rows with a timestamp of older than that. This presumes all your tables have a last updated time column or the like.

As far as an alert goes, I'm not sure what kind of alert you mean.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
