Start with learning the requirements, then read this forum searching the topics from the people who passed describing books they used for preparation. Read those books, practice and take the test

hmm... 4 years exp...

well, architecture is about creating system structures to support functional (business) and non functional requirements... you need exposure to situations that allow you to do this in the field..

your career objective is great and certification programs like the scea help validate your expertise architecting JEE solutions.

If you happen work for an IT dept in a particular domain, then, knowledge of the functioning enterprise, exposure to enterprise-impacting (IT) decision making, working with enterprise frameworks like TOGAF etc would allow you to test yourself against certification programs of that kind.

Again, do your homework, strive to get exposure and then go ahead and certify yourself.

hope this helps

Hi Fernandes,

That surely helps me a lot to get started with. Many thanks to you for that.

Now.... could you please help me knowing as what do I need to equip myself with, probobly as a pre-requisite, to get into the ground...making all set for achieving my career objective.

Some background info on my currect activities:
I do the low level desing for petty requirements that we are assigned to. Like writing the algorithms, drawing the flowcharts, use UML to design the flow and implemented the design by coding and testing it.

Would continuously aspire to do it more and more and would expect myself to reach up the hill gradually with Vigour and Glory that boosts up my confidence in handling the future assignments. Would need some tips as how I do grab the opportunity that helps get the exposure to do it in the field.

Many thanks in advance for your inputs.

Warm Regards,
Prasanna Lakshmi.
