Hello Pankaj !

Welcome to JavaRanch.

Please, refer special SCDJWS links page which contains references to different study sources for SCDJWS.

Also, I recommend you to use Search link (at top), since this question was asked many times before. In short - the "RMH" book is what you can start from.

Best regards,
MZ

When you say "RMH", are you referring to "J2EE Web Services: XML SOAP WSDL UDDI WS-I JAX-RPC JAXR SAAJ JAXP" by Richard Monson-Haefel.

I have searched for "J2EE Web Services: XML SOAP WSDL UDDI WS-I JAX-RPC JAXR SAAJ JAXP" by Richard Monson-Haefel in Amazon and it seems to be based on J2EE 1.4 spec. Is there any other book specifically designed for version 5.0

But it is still one of the best for 1.5 exam....

It is one of the best book to learn....if you have/get the exam objectives, you can find out what chapters you should read from book.

If you are new to web-services.. please read first 5 chapter of RMH, and decide what chapters you should read from rest of book.

thanks.

Hi!
Yes, the RMH book is slightly old, but it is nevertheless a very good introduction to web services.
If you have little or no experience with web services, then it is a good starting point.
You can skip the chapters that deal with matters irrelevant to the new version of the certification.
Best wishes!
