Hello Kathy,

Can't seem to find an e-mail for you so Paul suggested I try this. After doing some digging on you I can understand why. Some very crazy and public history you have going on there.

I am writing because I am doing a video game on learning. Specially how to learn by teaching yourself using the internet. My core dynamic for the game is a spiral. I then stumbled on this post you wrote years ago.

http://headrush.typepad.com/creating_passionate_users/2005/02/spiral_learning.html

Very inspirational and like minded to where I want to go. Really helped me believe in my design even more.

It is very hard to find like minded people on this subject of education and games. There are so few in the world. I would love to connect to with you and maybe bounce my game idea off you. I feel you might have some great input and might actually be interested in talking about it.

Thanks for your time.

Nicholas Marks - my e-mail is nicholasmarks at gmail dot com

P.S. I am not a stalker! I know you have some crazy internet thing going on with one. But I am not one. BUt I suppose a stalker might just say that one thing too. LOL. You can check up on me if you like. I am Academic Director at Art Institute of Los Angeles for Game Art/Design and Game Programming.

Not really--there's a long, long history of using computer games for education, countless papers and studies, and so on.

Yes there are...but i don't want to talk about generalities in education....

I want to talk about Spiral Learning and Game Design combined....specifically. Kathy to my knowledge is the only person who has written about the two.

I am designing a game...almost done....that I want to show her and get her feedback on. Thanks...
